What makes internet telephony commercially viable isn’t just lower costs-it’s the combination of savings with enhanced capabilities that traditional systems cannot match.

Small businesses benefit from professional features previously available only to large enterprises. An auto-attendant that routes calls intelligently, voicemail transcription, call recording, and integration with customer relationship management systems all come standard with most VoIP plans. These features would cost thousands of rupees monthly through traditional carriers, if available at all.

This eliminates the geographic constraints of traditional phone systems and supports remote and hybrid work arrangements without compromising communication quality.

Despite overwhelming advantages, internet telephony isn’t without requirements and limitations. The evidence overwhelmingly supports internet telephony’s commercial viability. Early technical limitations have been resolved through better networks and improved protocols.
